The program
Day by dayDay of arrival
There is no supervised activity on the day of arrival, so you can arrive quietly from 2 pm (but ideally before 5 pm), to take possession of your accommodation and receive your sports equipment.
Welcome time at 6 p.m.
Access to the sports village is closed from 9 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and from 7 pm on other days.
If you arrive after these hours, please ask for the code in advance by email at: argentiere@ucpa.asso.fr
If you purchased the “Arrival the day before” option, please come to the Argentière sports village on Saturday between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
During your stay
15 km. Height difference: +/- 500 m.
Tuesday - Hiking in the Aiguilles Rouges.
20 km. Height difference: + 1500 m -800
Stick workshop (ascent and descent technique).
Wednesday - Race hike to the Aiguilles de Chamonix 20 km. Height difference: + 1500 m -800
Thursday - Long day hike mode.
35/40 km. Height difference: +2500 m/- 1500 m
Friday - hike race or vertical kilometer.
15/20 km. Height difference: +/- 1500 m
Every day, stretching, exchanges on equipment (alti, cardio, electro stimulator), physical preparation, diet.
Be sure to check the level required for the stay. If you do not have the required level, we will not always be able to offer you another program.
The course of this program is indicative.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants.

The Mont Blanc Valley is THE trail valley. It offers trails of different lengths, from Servoz to Vallorcine, via Les Houches, Chamonix and Argentière. During the summer season, it attracts a large number of trailers from around the world. Among the selected courses, choose the one adapted to your performance to run in the heart of mountain ranges. Enjoy nature, forests, valleys, streams and other meadows. Thanks to “trail running”, discover splendid landscapes allowing you to recharge your batteries or to prepare for your next race.

Address and access
Get off at Argentière SNCF station (changing at Saint-Gervais/Le Fayet), located 50 m from the UCPA sports village. Check the destination of the train: the UCPA is located in Argentière in Haute-Savoie (74) and not in Argentière-les-Écrins (05).
You are coming by plane:
The nearest airport is Geneva Airport, a 1.5-hour shuttle from Chamonix. For shuttle schedules, consult the Tourism Office website.
UCPA has a partnership with the shuttle company Mountain Drop-offs. Discount code: UCPA1415.
You are coming by car:
Take the white highway to Chamonix, then the national road 506 to Argentière, 8 km up from Chamonix. The UCPA sports center is located 50 m from the SNCF train station. There is no parking within the UCPA sports center. However, it is possible to find free but limited parking spaces in the village.
To preserve the planet and not have worries (snowy roads in winter, difficult parking), if possible, prefer public transport.

- What to relieve ankle and knee problems: “Elasto” type bands
- What to clean small wounds: soaked compresses
- Sun protection for the skin and lips, prefer a total screen type sunscreen
- What to relieve intestinal problems following changes in diet
- Something to relieve headaches and aches
- What to relieve insect bites
Ask your doctor and pharmacist for advice and think that you will have to go to your pharmacy, so only bring the minimum necessary.
