During your stay
Beginners are oriented towards navigation that allows them to understand how the boat works, the different positions (helmsman), the specificities of the body of water and safety.
The most experienced students are oriented towards autonomy in safety and performance.
Whatever your level, we will offer you various sailing projects. We will introduce you to the sensations of speed and balance of the boat. You can play comparing your speeds, settings and trajectories on a course or while navigating in a fleet.
We will give you the keys to enable you to choose the right navigation area, to understand it and to observe its specificities depending on the direction of the wind.
For the first levels
You will have the opportunity to switch to the different positions, helmsman, teammate.
You will learn
To manage your boat independently.
To adjust your sail according to your trajectory to guarantee a good speed.
To be placed to maintain a good balance of the boat.
To be directed according to the direction of the wind.
To maneuver the boat to make U-turns.
At the end of the course you will normally be able to move independently in a supervised navigation area.
For the most experienced
You will approach the controls to refine your navigation, use the sail to balance the boat, position yourself to improve propulsion, use the steering wheel for balance and propulsion of the boat.
You will discuss shore boat settings and settings to improve and understand your performance.
At the end of the course you will normally be able to choose your settings and your navigation area independently.
The course of this program is given for information purposes only.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
