The program
Day by dayDay of arrival
We start our hiking trip with a first warm-up course that will take us around the Barbin mountain starting from the village of La Palud sur Verdon to land at the top of the Route des Crêtes, with a panoramic view of the Gorges.
7 km, 34 hours of hiking.
During your stay
We travel the unmissable Martel Trail, which plunges into the depths of the gorges thanks to spectacular metal ladders followed by dark tunnels, to go up to the light of the aptly named Point Sublime belvedere and the Provençal village of Rougon, flown over by vultures.
Wednesday - Trigance
After crossing the Verdon on the magnificent Tusset Roman bridge, we go up a beautiful forest of beech and fir trees until we reach the vertiginous natural viewpoint of Rancoumas, an ideal observation point facing the giant cliff of L'Escalès where the climbers seem tiny.
In the afternoon we reach the village of Trigance, and our route ends at the beach of Pont de Carajuan on the Verdon.
4 to 5 hours of walking. Height difference: + 500 m
Thursday - Le Mourre de Chanier
It is a very beautiful mountain itinerary which, thanks to a regular ascent, makes us gain altitude until finally, after the original ascent of a large corridor, to the alpine lawns of the summit ridges.
The final assault on Mourre de Chanier, the highest point in the region, will allow us to enjoy a panoramic view that extends from the Alps to the Mediterranean.
4 to 5 hours of walking. Height difference: + 800 m approximately
