During your stay
Days 2 to 14:
During this stay, you improve your sailing skills in an exceptional navigation basin with disproportionate landscapes.
During this stay, you improve your sailing skills in an exceptional navigation basin with disproportionate landscapes.
You participate in the maneuvers on board by alternating on the different positions (transfers, gybes, hoisting and adjusting the sails, meteorology, participating in the navigation program and stopovers). Life on board is organized on a daily basis, so you all participate in preparing meals, cleaning and tidying up the boat together.
You consolidate your theoretical and technical knowledge and improve your navigation skills, supervised by your instructor, eager to share his passion and experience with you. You sail an average of 8 hours per day (depending on weather conditions), during the day only. Your navigation perimeter extends from Largs to Iona.
Scotland is a beautiful and very wild country, a country of legends, cultures and stories. You will never tire of discovering it as you navigate the Hebrides. Every day, highlights punctuate sailing times and life on board the sailboat. You thus take advantage of the numerous anchorages and stopovers to stroll such as Castle Carrick, to Tarbert, a small traditional village, to Loch Aline with its wooded shores, Loch Teacuis, the colony populated by seals, and the island of Iona, with its magnificent pink granite decor. You can also explore the Crinan Canal in western Scotland, which offers a waterway between the Clyde and the Inner Hebrides.
Depending on the program and according to your desires, you may be able to visit the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, one of the last to make its whiskey in the traditional way. This unique and original program in a magnificent setting will leave you with an unforgettable memory.
Discovering and raising awareness about the preservation of the marine environment are key points of this sailing cruise, but it is also a real human and friendly adventure where good living and sharing are one.
The course of this program is indicative.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment.
In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s). It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants.
