- PASSPORT VALID at least 6 months after arrival on Peruvian territory
- Visa not required for a short stay (less than 3 months).
Consulate of Peru
25, rue de l'Arcade - 75008 Paris - Tel.: 01 42 65 25 10
IMPORTANT: POSSIBLE TRANSIT THROUGH THE UNITED STATES:
The airline used may involve transit through the United States, in which case you must have:
- A biometric passport valid for 6 months after the date of departure from the United States.
Since April 1, 2016, the law requires that all travelers to the United States or in transit on American soil be in possession of a biometric passport (with electronic chip).
A biometric passport, symbolized by a chip on the cover, meets international standards for securing and storing information about the passport holder. All passports issued in France since June 29, 2009 meet this obligation.
- An electronic travel authorization (ESTA):
All travelers going to the United States or in transit at an American airport must be in possession of an electronic travel authorization before boarding for the United States (14 dollars).
To obtain it, only connect to the official “ESTA” website at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/ and fill out an electronic form no later than 72 hours before departure.
Careful! Many pirate sites offer this service.
Of course, we advise you not to wait until the last moment to do this procedure.
ATTENTION: exclusion from the VWP (Visa Waiver Program = visa exemption program) of certain categories of travelers:
> Travelers who have been to Cuba since January 12, 2021 or who wish to travel there before a stay in the United States cannot benefit from the ESTA regime and must apply for a visa at an American consulate before undertaking a trip to the United States, even if they benefit from a previously approved ESTA, under penalty of having it canceled by border police officers (Customs and Border Protection) when entering American soil, or to be the subject of a decision to deny boarding. For more information (in English), consult the FAQ on the website of the federal agency Customs and Border Protection.
> Travelers who have been to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Libya, Libya, Libya, Libya, Libya, Libya, Somalia, Yemen or Sudan since 1 March 2011 and persons with Iranian, Iraqi, Sudanese or Syrian nationality cannot benefit from the visa exemption regime.
=> These people must apply for a B1/B2 visa valid, depending on the case, for several years from the American diplomatic and consular authorities.
Given the delivery times, it is recommended to anticipate these procedures, which may take several weeks.

This trip is for anyone in good health who wants to make a small physical effort to discover magnificent landscapes and traditional civilization, alternating stages in minibuses and easy hikes.
This trip is for anyone in good health who wants to make a small physical effort to discover magnificent landscapes and traditional civilization, alternating stages in minibuses and easy hikes.
This circuit allows us to discover 4 different sites at progressive altitudes, allowing a good acclimatization:
- the Pacific coast,
- the colonial city of Arequipa,
- the shores of Lake Titicaca at 3800m,
- the Cuzco region and the Sacred Valley with altitudes between 2700 and 4500 m.
The hikes are in easy terrain, with a real short trek of 3 stages in the Urubamba mountain range, with the passage of a pass at an altitude of 4500 m. During the trek, personal belongings, collective equipment and supplies are carried horses/ pack mules that we meet every evening. You will therefore only carry the day's essentials in a small backpack (lunch, sweater, jacket, camera, i.e. 4 or 5 kg).
Electricity
Provide a specific adapter. The voltage is 110/220 V 50/60Hz (the devices adapt automatically). Flat 2-pin sockets, identical to those used in the United States.
NB: you are going to participate in an “adventure” program, a travel formula that is totally different from conventional tourist circuits: the discomfort, the unexpected, the health conditions, which we may encounter, suppose everyone has a good spirit of tolerance and a taste for adventure.
Through your active and positive participation, you will contribute to the cohesion and good understanding of the group, which is a guarantee of the success of the trip.
