SPOT
The Valdoniello forest
The tranquility of a mountain forest in Corsica
Located in the center of Corsica in the town of Albertacce, the Valdoniello forest is a vast wooded area consisting mainly of laricio pines, an endemic species of the Island of Beauty. It extends from the Cinto Massif in the north to the Rotondo Massif in the south. It covers the upper part of the Golo Valley. You cross it when you climb the Vergio Pass or when you take the GR20. These remote and shady places are ideal for hikes, lulled by the song of birds and the rustle of leaves.
