The catamaran is the ideal vehicle to enjoy sailing and go on an adventure to discover the coastline. The instructors accompany you to master the boat and take you between the Giens Peninsula and the Golden Islands. You will discover this majestic coast with its turquoise beaches, its discreet coves, its capes and the magnificent island of Porquerolles. One week stay including 9 catamaran sessions. Beginners quickly get in the water to discover and understand how the boat works, the different positions (helder/crew member), the navigation plans (situation on the water in relation to the wind) and safety.
The most experienced ones alternate between technical and long-distance installations with the aim of developing autonomy, boat control and navigation management (marine sense).
We will offer you various navigation projects to develop your control of the boat according to the conditions and discover the coast around the Giens peninsula. You will discover the sensations of speed and balance of the boat (with the trapeze and the rappelling). You can play comparing your speeds, settings and trajectories on a course or while navigating in a fleet.
We will give you the keys to observe and understand the specificities of the wind according to its orientation and to choose the right navigation area.
At the end of the course, you will normally be able to move independently in a supervised navigation area (corresponding to the level for renting a boat).
In case of lack of wind, our instructors will offer you a range of land or nautical activities allowing you to discover the coastline in a different way.
The course of this program is indicative.
It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s).
It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants.

La Bergerie beach facing Porquerolles
A superb beach and an ideal spot for water sports
At the end of the peninsula on the east side, Bergerie Beach opens onto the Bay of Hyères and the islands of Port Cros and Porquerolles. We love this long beach with its shallow waters and the good conditions for water sports. The body of water is flat by mistral, with waves by south-east. The rocky end of the peninsula is accessible by stand-up-paddle or beach-kayak.
