You start at the bottom of the slope where you learn how to steer your sail, untangle and install your harness, how to take control, build and move your wing, and how to brake.
You progress towards the middle of the slope in order to respect the inflation phases, control your acceleration and braking. All this practice is alternated by theoretical classes in the classroom. At the end of the week, you prove yourself and carry out your first major flights independently, guided and assisted by the instructors. Thanks to this beginner trip, flying becomes a dream within your reach!

The program
Day by dayDay of arrival
Day 1 - Reception and installation in your renovated and furnished cottage on Monday from 1 pm, followed by a cold buffet lunch.
At 15:00 p.m., you meet your instructors who explain the course of the week to you. After the distribution of the equipment, you leave for business.
Return to the cottage and eat at 19:00.

During your stay
Day 2- Day 4: Every day, from Tuesday to Thursday, meet for one session in the morning and one session in the afternoon.
Your learning takes place on the Pente école site. You start at the bottom of the hill where you learn how to steer your sail, untangle and install your harness, how to take control, build and move your wing, and how to brake. You progress towards the middle of the slope in order to respect the inflation phases, control your acceleration, and your braking. You make small flights from the top of the slope: you follow a simple flight plan (corrections and slight change of course, final, set). All this practice will be alternated by theoretical classes in the classroom.
To practice paragliding, “personal accident and repatriation” insurance is strongly recommended. As this guarantee is not included in the all-inclusive stay, it is your responsibility to check with your insurer that you are well covered in the event of a free flight accident and to ask them to provide you with a certificate.
The course of this program is indicative. It may undergo modifications or adjustments, depending on technical criteria, safety requirements or the climatic conditions of the moment. In this case, only those responsible for UCPA supervision are authorized to take the necessary decision (s). It can also be adapted according to the technical and physical level of the participants.
To practice paragliding, “personal accident and repatriation” insurance is strongly recommended. Please note that the course ends after the activity, UCPA does not organize accommodation and meals on Friday evening. No return transport is organized by UCPA.

Mont Lachens
A magical and unforgettable flight on the “Roof of the Var”
The highest peak in the Var, also called “Le Toit du Var”, Mont Lachens culminates at 1715 m. Located on the borders of several municipalities including that of La Roque Esclapon, the summit offers a splendid panorama up to the Massif de la Sainte Baume and Mont Faron to the South-West, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, the peaks of Corsica to the South East, the peaks of Corsica to the South East are visible on a clear day, the mountains of the Mercantour-Argentera Massif to the North East. Mont Lachens is accessible by car, on foot via a track starting from La Roque Esclapon, and by bike (road and mountain bike). Its summit is the take-off point for paragliding and delta lovers.
