À PROPOS DE L'ACTIVITÉ

Descents in powder snow, again and again! By relying on the ski lifts of the domains, we no longer waste time on the endless climbs in sealskin! The instructors of the UCPA snow school help you discover the best spots near the resorts.
Set off to conquer virgin slopes and leave your mark!

Matériel fourni

High-end freeride-type skis, equipped with freeride-type touring bindings, very versatile for on-track or off-trail use, sticks, shoes, synthetic sealskins and safety equipment: DVA, shovels, probes, etc.

Of course you can bring your own equipment. It will be checked.

Type de session

Most freerando courses include a majority of day trips to be able to take full advantage of the routes and adapt to the best snow conditions. However, some days may remain on the classic model (2.5 hours of practice in the morning and 2.5 hours in the afternoon).
Each session starts with a warm-up and ends with a debriefing. The content of each session is unique since it is systematically co-constructed beforehand between the instructor and the whole group.
At the end of the day, discussion times are planned at UCPA (presentation of the internship, presentation of the internship, equipment, environment, snow and avalanche, research exercise with DVA, etc.).

Securité

To freerando safely, it is essential to know the mountain environment and the terrain perfectly. To do this, you will be supervised by qualified instructors or mountain guides who will make every effort to allow you to fully enjoy your hikes in optimal safety conditions. In the mountains, zero risk does not exist, but it is possible to reduce the risk considerably through appropriate behavior and knowledge. It is therefore extremely important to respect the instructions and decisions of these professionals.
Our instructors or guides will train you in the use of safety equipment and will give you all the keys to mountain safety to gradually become autonomous in your practice.
